What Youll Do
Your work will feed the decisions executives can't afford to get wrong.
Here's what that looks like day to day: you'll get a problem that isn't fully defined, and part of your job is figuring out the right question before you can even get to an answer. You'll dig into data, build the analysis, and find the insight that changes how a client sees their situation; youll be exposed to the latest AI tools and accelerators. You will learn to communicate your recommendation clearly to Executives who've been running companies longer than you've been in the workforce.
The questions that you will wrestle with are often broad, and cut across a clients organizational domains:
- What portfolio changes will drive growth?
- Where might I cut costs or restructure to reinvest for my future?
- How should I reimagine my operations in light of macroeconomic or competitive dynamics to win?
- What does it take to turn a bold strategic bet into realized P&L value?
- What changes are people and businesses demanding in their end-to-end journeys as customers and how are these changes impacted by AI?
- Where can we create the greatest value from AI, and how should we address the rising token costs that our organizations are facing?
These are a few illustrative questions that clients are asking, and that YOU will address as part of our team!
Your work will span the full arc of strategic advising: diagnosing where a business stands, charting where it needs to go, and designing the transformation required to get there. You'll be expected to think, not just execute and to bring a perspective into every conversation.
The best strategies aren't measured by the quality of the deck they're road-tested and measured by the value they create. Strategy and execution aren't separate disciplines. As an Enterprise Strategy Summer Scholar at Deloitte, youll learn how to connect the two.
How Youll Grow
Here's the honest version: this work will stretch you. You'll be dropped into problems that don't come with instructions, asked to have a point of view before you feel fully ready to have one, and expected to keep going when the first answer isn't the right one. That's where growth happens.
You won't do it alone. Our apprenticeship model means coaching and feedback show up at every stage of the journey not just in a formal review, but in the moment, on the job, from people who've walked the path you're on now.
The skills you'll build as an Enterprise Strategy Summer Scholar are the foundation of a modern strategic advisor: how to turn messy data into a clear insight, how to build the analysis and financial fluency that earns credibility in the room, and how to communicate a point of view clearly enough that it actually changes someone's thinking. You can be a future executive advisor or future CXO. Well get you ready for both.
Where You'll Focus
We advise Fortune 500 clients across all industries, serving both Corporate and Private Equity sponsors. That range is intentional. Early on, you'll move across industries and problem types, because the fastest way to find where you want to go deep is to see the full landscape first. Over time, that breadth turns into depth: you'll build real expertise in an industry or capability, the kind that makes you the person people call when a specific problem shows up.

Required Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and expected to graduate by Spring/Summer 2028 pursuing a bachelors degree or higher in one of the following majors or a related/equivalent program
- Business (e.g., Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Org Behavior)
- Science
- Technology
- Engineering
- Mathematics
- Operations
- Supply Chain
- Liberal Arts (e.g., Psychology, Industrial and Labor Relations)
- Strong academic track record (3.3 cumulative GPA required, 3.5 cumulative GPA preferred).
- Must live within a commutable distance to your assigned office (g. 100-mile radius) with the ability to commute daily, if required, upon start date
- Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate is $53/hour.
