Job description
Connect to your Industry
Are you passionate about leading business transformation for high profile and complex digital and capital programmes?
Do you get excited about land shaping a highly successful and growing Major Programmes business?
If so, Deloittes Major Programmes practice could be the place for you!
Our Major Programmes Business
Deloittes Major Programmes practice (part of the wider Human Capital offering) is currently recruiting for individuals with industry and technical skills that can help us grow and develop our capabilities.
The world has never before faced such a complex number of environmental, social and economic challenges and a new way of delivering major programmes is needed to respond to these. This market leading transformation approach will challenge conventional thinking around the delivery of major programmes, using a multi-disciplinary capability to help our clients deliver their most critical and demanding issues while reinforcing Deloittes commitment to purpose-led change.
Our practice comprises a blend of those who have worked previously in industry (in both technical and non-technical roles) and those who have prior consulting experience. The strength and value Major Programmes bring to our clients and Deloitte is a result of our collectively diverse and highly relevant industry insights and experience; the complexity of challenges our clients face requires us to leverage this diverse range of skillsets and experiences.
You will have the opportunity to work across a range of programmes, building your skills and experience on the job, as well as supported by our world class professional development approach. You will also experience the breadth of what Deloitte offers, working with colleagues across a range of disciplines and drawing on our market leading methods, and our global assets and tools
Major Programmes Communities
Within Major programmes, you'll be part of the Capital Programmes team, working with organisations across asset intensive sectors, who are delivering large, complex programmes and managing the operations and maintenance of major assets or complex service delivery.
Our work spans across a number of sectors, which include Government, Transport, Power and Utilities, Oil and Gas, Mining, Defence, Manufacturing, and Telecommunications.
Our team comprises a blend of those who have worked previously in industry (in both technical and non-technical roles) and those who have prior Consulting experience involved with but not limited to Digital Transformation, Infrastructure and Capital Programmes. Through our experience of delivering large complex programmes, we understand that the complexity of challenges our clients face requires us to leverage a diverse range of skillsets and experiences to be able to effectively partner and support our clients.
This is evident in the projects we undertake and client challenges we look to solve that see us making use of the breadth and depth of expertise within Deloitte. For example, we have strong ties into Deloitte Digital, Risk Advisory, Real Estate and Corporate Finance. As a global centre of excellence for Infrastructure and Capital Programmes within the firm, we are also engaged by other geographies and member firms to provide insight and input on some of the biggest global and high-profile engagements. Our connections and network enable us to deliver the right outcome for our clients, while bringing new approaches and perspectives to our teams capabilities and offerings. You will have access to a recognised development programme for each grade and a number of market leading frameworks that have been successfully implemented on high profile projects by our team whilst having a positive social impact at the heart of what we do. We are looking for people who share these values, as well as a passion for positive change.
Your Sector
We have a strong community of people who are passionate about making a difference and impact to citizens and public services. We work across the Public Sector, working closely with Consulting colleagues and the wider Deloitte firm in accounts and project teams that cover Transport, Security and Justice, Defence, Health and all other parts of central and local government.
We are particularly focused on large-scale transformation programmes, increasingly with an emphasis on programmes that form part of the Governments Major Project Portfolio and/or have a core digital change component.
We have an ambition to significantly increase the size of our teams in Manchester and across the north of England, in line with the governments emerging regional and industrial strategies, the strengthening role of local and regional government and the ongoing drive to relocate public sector staff and work away from London.[GW1]
