As a member of the RM team, you will support the business unit leadership and practitioners, playing a crucial role in the implementation and delivery of RM services to provide operational excellence whilst supporting delivery of the business talent strategy. - Lead the strategic resource planning for one of our largest audit operating units in the North, ensuring optimal deployment of mixed skillsets to deliver maximum commercial advantage for Deloitte clients.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, providing balanced, pragmatic guidance on manpower planning, resource allocation, and budget management.
- Take ownership of key processes across the Resource Management team, including Budget Planning, Talent Management, New Joiner & Leaver Processes, MI & Reporting, Learning & Professional Education, and Team & Personal Development.
- Deliver regular, accurate management information and insightful analysis on staff availability, utilisation, revenue, and forecasting accuracy to inform strategic decisions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, influencing and challenging constructively to resolve issues and drive business outcomes.
- Ensure optimal utilisation and revenue generation for the business unit, considering commercial implications of deployment decisions and providing appropriate challenge where necessary.
- Proactively prepare for and lead Resource Management meetings, enabling swift and informed staffing decisions in a dynamic audit environment.
- Coach and mentor junior scheduling team members, fostering their development and supporting the wider Resource Management function.
- Collaborate closely with the Resource Management team across the UK, contributing to a cohesive and high-performing function.

- Demonstrated ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders, practitioners, and business unit leaders, cultivating trusted advisor relationships through skilled verbal and written communication.
- Advanced proficiency in developing Management Information and strong working knowledge of Excel for data analysis and reporting, identify trends, drive strategic improvements, and enhance profitability within audit operations.
- Track record of delivering creative, flexible resourcing solutions in response to changing client demands, project delays, conflicts, or staff shortages, with a clear understanding of commercial drivers.
- Ability to plan, prioritise, and manage complex resourcing requirements, multitasking effectively under pressure while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
- Experience in budget management and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with business objectives and financial targets.
- Empathetic, impactful, and discreet approach to stakeholder engagement, consistently building trusted relationships with Business Unit leadership, practitioners, and team members.
