Would you like to work closely with the business in supporting the establishment of controls and testing them to ensure robust business processes and keep Danske Bank and its customers out of harm?  We are looking for Senior Risk Officer who will contribute to delivering a comprehensive testing framework within Product and Gen AI Testing and Assurance team. 

The Product and Gen AI Testing and Assurance team is a newly established specialised unit within the Controls Office, operating in the 1st Line of Defence within Business Controls and Product Management (BCPM). The Controls Office focuses on working with control owners to ensure that controls are designed and operated effectively, serving as a critical component in supporting the business in achieving its strategic goals. 

The role reports to the Leader of Product and Gen AI Testing and Assurance.

The BCPM department reports to the heads of the three business units: Personal Customers, Large Corporates & Institutions and Business Customers.

The workplace is located in Warsaw, Poland. Danske Bank supports workplace flexibility (we currently use a hybrid work model, where we work at least 3-4 days in the office).

This role does not include a relocation allowance.

You will:

Your focus will be on Product and Gen AI risk areas, supporting the delivery of a comprehensive testing and assurance framework within the 1st Line of Defence.

• Support the establishment of controls for Product and Gen AI risks

• Test established controls including determining appropriate test frequency, developing test scripts, governing documents, and methodology

• Analyse and interpreting test results, as well as assessing control ratings following testing, to highlight areas of effective practices and needed improvements across business areas

• Support reporting of test results and monitoring for Senior Management and Governing Risk Committees

About you:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in non-financial risk management, with an understanding of risk and control management practices

• Knowledge of financial products, processes or other relevant experience and know how to combine risk management principles with the needs of the business

• Ability to identify underlying risk drivers and trends, coupled with process and control improvement opportunities.

• Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English

• Ability to convey complex findings in a short and easily understandable manner

• Good stakeholder management skills across different units and levels

• Relevant university degree or equivalent educational background

• A pronounced interest in Gen AI risks
