Full Job Description
Location: Copenhagen V, Denmark
Join our Asset Management Legal team and help shape sophisticated private market investments across the Nordics. You will provide commercially minded legal advice on complex alternative investment structures while working with senior stakeholders. This role offers the opportunity to build expertise in a strategic growth area with significant learning potential.
What You Will Be Doing
As Senior Legal Counsel, you will be at the heart of our private markets value chain, providing legal advise on the full breadth of our investment business including private equity, structured credit, and fund formation. You will support both transaction execution and fund lifecycle matters, working closely with senior stakeholders across Private Equity, Investments, Finance, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and external advisers to deliver legal solutions that support business growth.
- Advise on private equity transactions, fund structuring, and regulatory compliance matters
- Draft and negotiate fund documentation, partnership agreements, and co-investment structures
- Support fund formation, structuring, and fundraising across UCITS and AIFs
- Review investor communications, offering materials, and external disclosures
- Manage external advisers including lawyers and auditors cost-efficiently
- Participate in developing new alternative investment products with investment specialists
About You
- Master's degree in law with extensive experience from leading law firms or financial sector
- Strong background in illiquid alternatives, private equity, or leveraged transactions
- Structured, independent working style with ability to manage multiple workstreams
- Skilled at managing complex stakeholder processes at senior levels
- Clear communicator who can convey complex legal matters to non-legal audiences
- Professional proficiency in Danish and English, both written and spoken
Experience with AIFMD, fund governance, or institutional investor negotiations would be valuable but is not essential for the right candidate.
