This senior data breach management role offers the chance to safeguard individuals' rights whilst supporting Danske Bank's GDPR compliance in a changing environment. You will make meaningful contributions to data protection across our organisation.

With team members across various locations, we focus on maintaining high standards of data protection and supporting the organization in adhering to GDPR requirements. The team is responsible for investigating, assessing and reporting data breaches across the Group, ensuring that cases are handled with high quality, consistency, and in compliance with GDPR requirements.  This role offers a unique blend of responsibilities that intersect with privacy risk management and analytical tasks, giving you the opportunity to make impactful changes in a fast-paced environment. 

What you will be doing

You will serve as a subject matter specialist within our Data Breach Management Team, investigating and assessing personal data breach cases across the Group. Working with stakeholders from IT, business units, Legal, Compliance, and the DPO function, you will ensure cases are handled with quality, consistency, and regulatory compliance.

  • Investigate and assess moderate to complex personal data breach cases across the Group 
  • Gather relevant facts and ensure clear understanding of root causes and required actions
  • Analyse information and documentation to draw accurate, well-supported conclusions
  • Assess risks and support legal and regulatory evaluations in line with GDPR 
  • Ensure timely handling of cases, including documentation, communication, follow-up actions and escalation when needed 
  • Coordinate with stakeholders across the Group to obtain information, drive decisions and ensure progress 
  • Provide guidance on mitigation, remediation and prevention of future breaches 
  • Maintain accurate records to support transparency and organisational learning
  • Monitor regulatory timelines and take action to keep cases on track
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of data breach management processes and tools including promoting awareness of data breach reporting, investigation and mitigation as an important part of daily work across the Group

About you

  • Solid knowledge of GDPR and its practical application to data breach investigation, assessment, remediation and regulatory compliance 

  • Experience with fact gathering investigations and risk assessment in regulated environments

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with complex, changing information

  • Excellent communication skills across various stakeholders throughout the Group

  • Strong project management capabilities including planning, prioritising and delivering within timelines

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and make informed decisions

  • Structured approach with strong ownership for quality, progress and outcomes

  • The ability to influence others, provide guidance and support a strong risk and compliance culture, while applying sound project management and time management skills to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard

Monthly salary range from 3200 EUR to 4800 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
