In Welcoming and Orchestration, we have three main focus areas. Our vision is to transform how we welcome customers, streamline the digitalisation of the sales process, and provide workflow orchestration services across the Danske Bank Group.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the tribes strategic direction and infrastructure in a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and teamwork. We expect you to lead initiatives, establish new engineering capabilities, and mentor team members.

This position offers the freedom to innovate and lead in creating robust, scalable solutions that significantly improve customer and operational experiences across the bank. We continuously evolve our systems to deliver lean, simple, and elegant solutions that fulfil the needs of our users.

Depending on your experience and knowledge, we may offer a different level of seniority for this role.

You will:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement data engineering strategies
• Lead the establishment of CI/CD pipelines for data operations
• Help define and set up development environments for data engineering projects
• Use AWS data services (e.g. AWS Glue, AWS databases, Databricks) to optimise data processes
• Develop and maintain ETL processes using a language of your choice that is compatible with Danske Banks tech stack
• Mentor and guide team members on data engineering best practices

About you:

• Strong experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong background in data architecture and pipeline design
• Expertise in CI/CD tools and methodologies, including GitHub Actions
• Practical experience with AWS data services
• Proficiency in at least one programming language suitable for ETL development, preferably Python
• Ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving environment and contribute to the establishment of new engineering capabilities
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in English
• Nice to have: AWS Certified Data Engineer certification and Databricks experience

We offer:

Monthly salary range from 4400 EUR to 6600 EUR gross (based on competencies relevant to the role).
