Shape the future of data management in Business Customers
You will play a pivotal role in implementing a new data management solution at Danske Bank. Acting as a key link between the Group-wide programme and our Business Customers (BC) unit, you will ensure alignment and drive progress in a dynamic and diverse environment.
Your role as Business Data Specialist will centre on facilitating data governance, improving data quality, and embedding data management practices across BC. Through your expertise, you will ensure compliance with policies, educate colleagues, and support BCs ability to leverage data.
The team:
You will join Corporate Customer Engagement Tribe within BC, working as sparring partners to ensure progress, alignment and consistent ways of working. Being part our team means becoming part of a high-profile, motivated, and diverse group of professionals. We work with the principle of freedom with responsibility, empowering you to manage your assignments independently from day one, with ongoing support. In this role, you will contribute to strengthening BCs data governance for impactful outcomes for both customers and stakeholders.
This role is based in Vilnius with a flexible hybrid model requiring at least three office days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate the implementation of data management across BC, providing support on data-related issues and opportunities.
- Act as a crucial link between Danske Banks Group Data Management Office and our data owners in BC.
- Drive and support data governance forums with data owners and stewards to ensure prioritization and accountability across BC.
- Educate and train colleagues in data management practices.
- Monitor, report, and escalate data quality issues to maintain and improve our standards.
- Coordinate new projects and business changes to ensure compliance with the Data Risk Management Policy and Data Management Instruction.
- Support team members in the Corporate Customer Engagement Tribe in building and maintaining a robust governance structure for digital insights and partnerships.
Who We Are Looking For:
We are seeking an ambitious and dynamic individual with relevant experience (ideally 1-3 years). The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong analytical skills and a flair for data.
- Experience with data management implementation, large data models and data quality.
- Experience in establishing and implementing data governance frameworks, including policy development, standards, roles and responsibilities.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear and persuasive messages to diverse audiences.
- Ability to lead projects and influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
- Proven ability to build strong internal networks and collaborate effectively across different teams and organisational levels.
- A growth and strategic mindset who is eager to challenge the status quo.
- Previous experience with implementing data flow tracking or data lineage is highly desirable.
