Full Job Description
Location: Vilnius, Lithuania
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Over-the-counter (OTC) Derivatives Services team within Markets Services in Vilnius, where you will have a real impact on how Danske Bank supports its markets clients. We work with a broad range of LC&I customers across the Nordic countries and other Danske Bank Group locations, and our mission is to ensure their operations runs smoothly, accurately and in line with regulatory expectations.
As part of a skilled and driven team of professionals in Vilnius, you will be involved in the full post-trade lifecycle for OTC derivatives and play a key role in how our processes and systems evolve. Analyst role is aimed at a colleague who is ready to handle more complex tasks, drive ad-hoc problem solving and be a strong partner for stakeholders and IT. You will be at the heart of change and improvement, working on regulatory initiatives, system enhancements and reporting optimisation, while strengthening your expertise in markets products and operational risk management.
The workplace is located in Vilnius. Danske Bank supports workplace flexibility (we currently use a hybrid work model, where we work at least 3 days in the office).
You will:
Handle complex OTC derivatives post-trade tasks, including cash settlements, reconciliations and investigations for non-standard and escalated cases
Act as a key contact for stakeholders and IT on system incidents, enhancements and change requests, helping to design and test solutions
Support and drive regulatory and strategic projects, ensuring new requirements are understood, implemented in daily processes/systems and reflected in controls and reporting
Analyse process performance and data to identify root causes and improvement opportunities, and lead process change initiatives
Enhance the quality, automation and transparency of internal reporting
Maintain and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures and control frameworks to ensure robust, compliant and efficient operations
Collaborate closely with colleagues from front offices, risk, compliance and global external partners via e-mail, calls and workshops
Participate in and sometimes lead improvement initiatives using Lean principles, sharing best practices and supporting a culture of continuous improvement
About you:
At least 3-5 years of experience in financial markets operations, middle office, or related post-trade services
Higher education (in Finance, Economics or relevant field would be benefit)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with complex, non-standard cases and draw clear conclusions
High attention to detail, focus on controls and quality, and a structured approach to documentation
A proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership, drive initiatives and continuously improve the way we work
Experience working with stakeholders, ideally including front office, risk, and IT, and confidence in challenging and aligning different viewpoints
Understanding of OTC derivatives or strong motivation to develop deep expertise in this field
A team-oriented person who enjoys working, sharing knowledge, and having fun together
Upper-intermediate English language skills both in speaking and writing
