We are seeking a graduate analyst to support our growing Equity Research team in Oslo Danske Bank Equity Research provides our clients with high quality company and sector research on listed equities. We guide clients to make the right investment decisions in an ever-changing investment landscape. As a graduate in Equity Research you will assist senior analysts in their coverage, over time building up broad industry knowledge with the aim of taking over your own company coverage and becoming an expert in your chosen industry.

You will work alongside our team of senior equity analysts providing clients with high quality sector and company research. Our team of highly dedicated professionals cover most sectors on the Oslo Stock Exchange. You will work independently on company research and in teams across our international offices on sector research. In this position you will have the opportunity to become a part of a top three Nordic investment bank and work towards internal and external stakeholders in Norway and internationally. The position is based in Oslo, Norway.

Your tasks

  • Assist our senior equity analysts on maintaining company models in Excel and tracking relevant sector data for forecasting purposes
  • Produce in-depth company research and sector research with a high degree of integrity and curiosity
  • Track market and investment trends and act on these to generate investment ideas
  • Build up your own coverage of companies in a sector on the Oslo Stock Exchange
  • Market your own research ideas locally and internationally
  • Participate in local and international roadshows
  • Assist in valuation exercises and maintaining company valuation models
  • Take part in ad hoc projects in cooperation with corporate finance and other internal stakeholders

As a research analyst, you are able to communicate your ideas to a broad range of stakeholders and build relationships over time.

We`re looking for a person who:

  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, with a large degree of autonomy. We therefore aim to hire someone who can meet deadlines, has an analytical mind-set and a high workload capacity.
  • Is self-driven and works independently.
  • Enjoys challenges and wants to be a part of a growing team where you are encouraged to learn and develop.
  • Is curious and a problem solver. You will get the opportunity to meet a large number of companies across different sectors and industries with the aim of building up your own coverage. Over time, you will become highly skilled in your chosen industry.

You will be working towards our Norwegian and international clients, as well as sales teams and across research departments. We do a lot of written work followed by active marketing of our ideas and so the position requires strong communication skills, both written and orally, in English and Norwegian.

You are working towards completing your final year of studies in a Masters degree from a reputable University, and we consider candidates from a broad range of University backgrounds. Preferably, you have prior knowledge and courses in finance and accounting. As the position is targeted at entry level applicants to equity research, our main focus is finding candidates with a profound interest in the equity market that are willing to learn more about the companies and have the aim of becoming great equity analysts over time.
