• Supporting system development and deployments in test and production environments; 

• Conducting analysis and research to identify and troubleshoot errors, including data consistency issues, requiring both process skills and a deep understanding of the data structures used; 

• Communicating and collaborating on operational solutions and improvements with teams based in Europe; 

• Assisting in defining operational best practices and ensuring compliance with quality assurance measures; 

• Acting as the expert on operational processes and tools within your team, ensuring smooth deployments and highly efficient maintenance procedures; 

• Developing automated system installations and configuration, based on a central configuration management system; 

• Monitoring of the production environment; 

• Interacting and Maintaining data within Oracle databases; 

• Developing and maintaining interfaces to several dozen other internal and external systems.  

• Experience in maintaining and changing management of enterprise data models with several thousand tables and volumes between 3 and 100 TB, including the data processes. 

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines in complex environments. Enterprise Datamodels & -structures, running mainly on Oracle and partly on MySQL and Postgres. 

• Proficiency in performing log and data analysis and error investigation using tools to diagnose issues. 

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python which are useful for scripting and development of automated processes. 

• Understanding of banking regulations and requirements that impact operational procedures and deployments. 

• Ability to manage and operate Linux-based systems, including command line proficiency and troubleshooting systems.  

• Fluently speaking and writing in English and German.

The comdirect IT (Technology Base & Services) is part of the Key Area GS-CODE (comdirect Delivery) and is responsible for developing, deploying and operating several data related products e.g. Data Warehouse, Big Data and Analytic solutions, which supports the analytic of nearly 3 million online and mobile customers. The main goal is to create stable, secure and scalable platforms for self-directed customers for banking and especially for brokerage use cases. And in case of internal systems there is a stable and efficient environment for all employees.
