Full Job Description
We are looking for a motivated Microsoft Full-Stack Developer to join our Finance / Data Platform development team in Prague.
This role is an excellent opportunity for a junior or medior developer who already has first hands-on experience with VBA, MS SQL Server and Metadata management and is eager to further develop skills in modern technologies within a structured corporate environment.
You will contribute to the evolution and potential migration of a metadata management tool supporting the design and development processes of the Banks Finance and Risk Data Warehouse (FRDWH). You will be involved in the full software lifecycle from analysis and design to implementation, testing, and operation and you will learn how to transition legacy solutions towards more modern platforms.
Your tasks
- Develop, maintain, and enhance VBA-based applications and MS SQL Server solutions supporting metadata management and DWH processes
- Analyze and improve existing MS Access-based tools (forms, reports, logic) under guidance of senior colleagues and ensure their stability and usability
- Contribute to the modernization and gradual migration of legacy applications towards more modern ecosystems (e.g. web-based or cloud solutions)
- Design and implement data models, stored procedures, and efficient SQL queries
- Build and optimize interfaces and integrations with DWH systems and other enterprise platforms
- Take part in end-to-end delivery: requirements clarification, solution design, implementation, testing, deployment, and documentation
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues across application, database, and integration layers
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, analysts, and architects in an international environment
Your Profile
You do not need to be an expert in every area from day one. We are looking for someone with a solid technical foundation, curiosity, and motivation to grow.
- First practical experience in software development, ideally with VBA, MS SQL Server, and MS Access
- Knowledge of T-SQL, relational databases, data modeling, and interest in data warehouse environments
- Familiarity with or interest in Web-based UI frameworks (e.g. React / Spring)
- Interest in modernizing legacy applications and learning modern Microsoft, cloud, or web technologies
- Basic understanding of clean code, versioning, testing, CI/CD, Git, or willingness to learn these practices
- Analytical mindset, willingness to learn, and ability to work with complex data environments
- Degree in IT, business informatics, or comparable practical experience
- English and German at least at B1 level; eligibility to work in the EU
