Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Business Executions - Expense Management Senior Associate is a critical role requiring a deep understanding of financial management, expense oversight, and strategic resource planning within a technology organization. This role applies to an in-depth understanding of financial processes, controls, and reporting to drive the objectives of the Wealth Technology organization. The incumbent will serve as a key subject matter expert, taking end-to-end ownership of core financial processes, integrating diverse data points for comprehensive outlooks, and narrating complex financial positions to senior stakeholders. Strong analytical skills, commercial awareness, and excellent cross-functional communication are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage and contribute to the development of comprehensive expense outlooks (Direct Staff, Non-Direct Staff, Software, Travel & Entertainment), integrating them into internal resource management systems and corporate financial reporting.

  • Proactively analyze and explain variances, collaborating with various teams (e.g., Workforce, Finance Governance) to stitch together inputs (e.g., NDS reduction, HC forecasts, FPC & SW impacts) and come up with a unified narrative for higher management.

  • Proactively identify and escalate complex financial risks and discrepancies, taking full ownership of resolution efforts.

  • Independently manage and ensure the accuracy of Green $ processes, including WFU, Outlooks, and Variances submission to LFOs.

  • Take ownership of entries and data integrity within internal financial systems (e.g., Renault) for Green $, ensuring data accuracy and reconciliation with project time tracking.

  • Develop and present clear, concise financial narratives and recommendations to higher management, translating complex data into actionable insights.

  • Support the establishment and management of expense targets for Senior Management Team Targets, guiding on budget implications.

  • Oversee the accurate reflection of project expenses by correctly linking Fixed Price Contracts (FPC) & Software (SW) and verifying timebooking and forecasting for Direct Staff & Non-Direct Staff resources.

  • Provide vital support for PTS rate card reviews, conducting simulations to assess financial impacts of rate changes on Plan and FY forecasts, offering insights that support senior-level decision-making.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to Business Execution and Finance Governance teams, leveraging comprehensive financial understanding to inform decision-making and ensure organizational alignment during structural changes (e.g., Managed Segment/GOC matters).

Qualifications:

  • 8-12 years of progressive experience in financial management, expense control, and operational areas within a large enterprise, preferably in technology.

  • Demonstrated expertise in managing and integrating complex financial processes, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting across multiple functions.

  • Proven ability to take end-to-end ownership of critical processes and drive them to successful outcomes.

  • Strong analytical capabilities, with a track record of identifying and resolving significant financial discrepancies.

  • Excellent influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills, with proven ability to engage effectively with senior management and diverse stakeholders (e.g., Finance Governance, Workforce teams).

  • Highly proactive, flexible, and innovative approach to financial and operational management.

  • Consistently demonstrates clear, concise, and persuasive written and verbal communication, particularly in narrating complex financial positions.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple interdependent tasks and priorities effectively.

Education:

  • Bachelors/University degree required. Masters degree preferred.
