Department Overview

Based in the Dublin Service Centre, the Issuer Services Department is part of the wider Custody and Issuer Services Group. The Department contains a diverse section of units which support our Issuer Services Clients, Product and Sales partners. The services we provide include Depository servicing, Issuing & Paying agency services and Specialised Agency functions such as Account Bank, Project Finance, Structured Finance and Escrow Agent functions.

Typical Corporate Trust clients of Citi include major international and national-level corporations, financial institutions (FIs), banks, and public sector/sovereign Debt issuers, as well as investment banks, asset managers, and stand-alone collateral managers. 

Team/Position Overview

The Custody team supports our Specialised Agency Product offering under the Issuer Services Business. The Custody Product supports transaction activity related to Repack, Project Finance, Structured Finance and Escrow Agent. The team is responsible for the timely processing / remittance of payments and settlements on behalf of a global customer base.

The position is a Customer facing role and involves frequent contact with Agency & Trust front office (Documentation and Sales).

Key responsibilities:

  • Preparation of income due on securities held in Custody using Euroclear/Clearstream and Global Custody reporting
  • Preparation of custody settlement instructions (DVP/RVP) via ICSD and Domestic market securities accounts
  • Processing of associated Corporate Actions
  • Completion of daily checklists and end of day reconciliations logs
  • Client inquiries response
  • Maintenance of internal database records

Requirements:

  • Ideally from an Operations background with understanding of securities settlement, funds transfer
  • Quick assimilation of new processes & deal structures
  • Strong organisational skills & work accurately under pressure
  • Attention to detail - processing approach required
  • Maintain a high work rate, be able to multi-task due to a range of tight deadlines, business systems/ internal applications & cope with fluctuating volumes.
  • Teamwork, good communication & Customer service skills
