Job Overview

The role is a client facing role, that assumes direct responsibilities in assisting clients on a wide range of matters, spanning day to day support, up to execution of transactions, at the junction of multiple banking products. The (analyst/associate) banker will thus act in support of senior bankers. Assist in financial and business opportunity analysis, credit underwriting, KYC/Compliance management, client onboarding, and the cross selling of Citis products.


Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with bankers and product partners to provide overall relationship management support.
  • Support bankers in cross-selling Citis full spectrum of products and services.
  • Maintain &service existing clients, as well as expand the portfolio within the dedicated target market.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships interact with key customers decision makers.
  • Conduct marketing and executing activities in coordination with partners (Services , Markets..)
  • Maintain accurate pipeline data in internal CRM systems and track revenue performance against targets.
  • Coordinate account opening, maintenance, and closure processes across multiple currencies (USD, CDF, EUR), ensuring compliance with local dual-currency regulations.
  • Contribute together with internal partners to various approval processes)
  • Display a strong risk mindset and maintain a solid control environment
  • Regular interaction with multiple cross border teams and partners, as well as the local team
  • Continuously stay informed of the best practices and market and industry trends
  • Manage the Know Your Customer (KYC) process for new client onboardings and periodic reviews across all segments
  • Partner directly with client finance directors, treasurers, and Citis KYC Business Support Unit (BSU) to gather required documentation.
  • Ensure strict compliance with Citis global AML policies and local regulatory requirements set by the Central Bank of Congo (BCC).


Qualifications:

  • 15 years of experience in corporate banking, credit analysis, financial services, or corporate finance. Experience in an international bank, multinational corporate, or a major international development organization is highly advantageous.
  • Professional fluency in both French and English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
  • Experience with large corporate clients, capital markets products is a plus.
  • Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication.
  • Consistent planning, negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Track record in previous client fronting roles is a plus.
  • Proven expertise in risk assessment and in identifying any early warning signals is a plus.
  • Ability to handle in parallel multiple projects, with client satisfaction in focus.
  • A team player that understands the importance of teamwork.
  • Someone up to a great professional challenge.


Education:

  • Bachelor - Master's degree/University degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.
