Job Overview

This role will be responsible for the ownership and management of a number of strategic projects to create efficiencies for the business. The position will partner closely with all parts of the Private Bank including sales teams, business managers, product managers, and functional owners. The role will serve as the key interface between the Private Banks COO office and our partners across the organization in order to strengthen our day-to-day operating processes and the platforms we operate on. Requires someone who is both a strategic thinker as well as detail oriented.

Key Responsibilities:

Issue / Problem Identification:

  • Gather feedback from field on issues impacting Clients, Bankers, Product Specialists, Service Officers, and other client-facing support functions
  • Conduct field interviews and surveys to assess current state on an as-needed basis
  • Prioritize issues for solution development / project initiatives for implementation

Solution Development:

  • Evaluate end-to-end process (and associated policy) to understand root-cause challenges and develop stream-lined processes that create efficiency and mitigate risk
  • Partner with various support teams to develop and deliver solutions (e.g., Operations, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Tax)
  • Identify and resolve project road-blocks to ensure successful implementation
  • Support implementation of solutions to the field including launch, communications and training

Analytics:

  • Develop fact base around key issues and perform quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Identify key insights, alternatives and develop impactful solutions and implementation plans
  • Develop meaningful metrics around client / field transactions to measure and enhance field
  • effectiveness (e.g. sales metrics, analysis of progress with clients etc)
  • Manage all data requests going out to the field and sequence them to minimize multiple requests
  • being outstanding simultaneously

Source of information:

  • Provide timely analytics to various regions around field transactions, clients, prospects, etc.
  • Pro-actively identify opportunities to enhance information gathering and reporting capabilities around client / field transactions

Business Initiatives Management:

  • Manage multiple initiatives and coordinate across teams to ensure successful implementation
  • Develop detailed work plans and manage expectations around time-line and delivery between business and support functions
  • Partner with NAM regions, products, and Finance to oversee and manage NAM expenses

Leadership / Partnership:

  • Develop strong relationships with all the GMMs, Business Managers, and Product Partners
  • Work with senior executives to develop implementation plans and ensure these plans meet overall business objectives

Recommended Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in financial services
  • Experience working in global and complex settings with multiple stakeholders
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry and technology, including Profit & Loss (P&L), accruals, client allocations, capitalization, recovery and fixed price contracts
  • Proven ability to work in a team of diverse skill sets and cultures
  • Proven ability to work in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments
  • Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred
