About the Team

This role sits within Citi's Procurement and Third-Party Management (P&TPM) function a critical part of Citi's First Line of Defense. The team holds end-to-end responsibility, accountability, and authority for designing and executing Citi's Source to Contract (S2C) process, governing how Citi engages with external third parties for goods and services globally.

The team operates at the intersection of strategic sourcing, contract management, supplier relationship management, and risk working closely with business stakeholders, Legal, Compliance, and Finance to ensure Citi gets the best value from its supplier base while maintaining the highest standards of risk and control.

Beyond sourcing, the team also defines and oversees Citi's Third-Party Management Programmed identifying, managing, and reporting on third-party risk across the organization to protect Citi's clients, assets, and reputation.

How This Role Fits Within Citi

The Program Management Intermediate Analyst is a developing professional embedded in the sourcing team, contributing directly to Citi's ability to engage suppliers compliantly, efficiently, and strategically. As a key participant in the S2C process, you will support Sourcing Managers and Business Activity Owners (BAOs) across the full contracting lifecycle from strategy development and competitive events through to contract execution and ongoing administration.

This is a high-visibility role that interfaces with multiple functions including Legal, Compliance, Technology, Finance, and business units making it an excellent platform for building deep procurement expertise and broad institutional knowledge of how a global bank operates.

Key Projects & Strategic Priorities

The P&TPM function is in the midst of a significant transformation, and this role will play an active part in delivering against Citi's key strategic priorities:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Achieving full compliance with global and local regulatory mandates (including OCC and FCA requirements) through rigorous process adherence and audit readiness
  • Platform Modernization: Supporting the migration and adoption of new sourcing and contracting platforms as part of Citi's procurement technology transformation
  • Operational Efficiency: Reducing manual touchpoints, improving controls, and streamlining end-to-end contract management processes through automation and process redesign
  • Issues Remediation: Shifting from reactive problem-solving to proactive risk prevention through enhanced monitoring and early detection of control gaps
  • Financial Transformation: Contributing to global financial standardization by supporting the integration of procurement systems with Citi's strategic ledgers and vendor platforms

Engage & Strategies Working with Business Activity Owners to define requirements and develop sourcing strategies tailored to market conditions Competitive Bidding Running transparent, documented competitive events (RFP, RFQ, eAuction) with a minimum of two to three qualified suppliers, all transacted through approved sourcing systems Due Diligence & Negotiation Managing NDA execution, leading supplier negotiations, and incorporating legal, regulatory, and policy requirements into contracts Contract Execution Using approved Citi legal templates, obtaining the right approvals, and executing contracts via eSignature where possible System Governance Maintaining accurate, complete contract records and supporting documentation in approved platforms, ensuring full audit readiness at all times

What Success Looks Like

In the first 612 months, a successful Program Management Intermediate Analyst will:

  • Develop confident working knowledge of Citi's S2C process and the platforms that support it (GEP, Aravo, Oracle)
  • Execute sourcing and contracting tasks end-to-end with accuracy, compliance, and minimal supervision
  • Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders including Legal, Compliance, and Business Activity Owners becoming a trusted point of contact for contracting queries
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to risk identification, escalating issues transparently and proposing practical solutions
  • Contribute to at least one process improvement or efficiency initiative within the team
  • Consistently maintain audit-ready documentation standards across all managed contracts

Longer term, success means being recognized as a subject matter expert in contract management and sourcing best practices with the capability to take on broader supplier portfolios, more complex negotiations, and mentoring responsibilities for junior team members.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who bring the following:

  • 25 years of relevant experience in sourcing, procurement, or vendor/contract management
  • Advanced English and Portuguese (both required) able to draft, negotiate, and communicate in a professional capacity in both languages
  • Solid knowledge of contract management principles, processes, and best practices across the full contracting lifecycle
  • Proficiency with contract management and sourcing tools experience with platforms such as GEP, Aravo, or equivalent is advantageous
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and supplier management, including competitive bidding and supplier risk assessment
  • Project management experience comfortable managing multiple workstreams simultaneously in a structured, deadline-driven environment
  • Collaborative working style able to navigate cross-functional teams and build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Continuous learning mindset proactively seeking to stay current with industry developments, regulatory changes, and evolving best practices in contract management

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
