Markets Operations Belfast Overview:

Role Overview:

The overall objective of this role is to assist in the prompt payment of transactions and the investigation of any issues that may arise. This involves working with data, investigating, and resolving problems and communicating with colleagues, to complete transactions. Working within a fast paced, operational environment means that your activity really counts towards your teams ability to achieve their targets.

What you'll do:

  • Check and verify information to ensure accuracy of booking requests
  • Generate and match transactions under general supervision
  • Direct transaction processing issues to the appropriate department and collaborate on solutions
  • Support the preparation and submission of internal and external regulatory reports
  • Perform multiple transactions of moderate complexity
  • Interpret data and apply analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis
  • Identify policy gaps and makes suggestions to support the streamlining of related work processes
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders, with whom you may exchange potentially complex/sensitive information to progress work and resolve issues


What we'll need from you:

  • Evidence of ability to manage multiple tasks and working towards deadlines
  • Ability to perform a range of tasks/projects
  • Comfortable with working in a team environment and being initiative-taking in recommending improvements to existing processes
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word)
  • Self-reliant, good problem solver, and results oriented
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to partner with other teams to provide innovative solutions
  • Ability to effectively prioritise
