Citi Commercial Bank (CCB) partners with mid-market and fast growth businesses across the world, especially with clients with international presence and aspirations. CCB Middle East & Africa cluster covers the U.A.E., Turkey, Israel, South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, and Egypt. It is one of the largest business clusters for CCB in EMEA, and a strategic growth market for CCB globally. Cash management solutions are a core part of the business strategy and are expected to continue driving the clusters expansion. The CCB The Middle East & Africa Cash Management Sales Officer will be focused on working closely with Commercial Banking Relationship Managers (RM) to grow Cash revenues, leveraging Citis global network. With complex Cash solution capabilities and solution centric sales, CCB Middle East & Africa will continue to attract a sizeable number of new client relationships to the franchise, while managing its existing portfolio.

Key Outline

The key outline of this role is to help nurture the growth of Cash revenues for CCB clients headquartered in the Middle East, as well as Middle-East & Africa subsidiaries across the cluster of internationally parented CCB clients. An ongoing commitment to identify new revenue streams and flows, support and own RFPs and deepen wallet penetration for revenue realisation. This is an experienced individual contributor role that is expected to deliver fast sustainable growth with the ability to manage multiple clients and senior management demands.

Role Profile:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Make Citi the go to international banking partner for our client segments.
  • Identify client challenges and provide holistic treasury solutions allowing clients to grow faster and become more efficient.
  • Build a pipeline in partnership with the CCB Middle East & Africa RM and Product teams to drive conversion of deals through participation in client pitches and RFPs.
  • Regular tracking of deal pipeline and review of implementation and revenue realization.
  • Foster productive working relationships with partner groups across regional/global product teams, and work with the CCB Middle East & Africa RM team and Product teams to build solutions based on clients needs.
  • Proactively working with RMs to drive business growth, owning Cash deals from origination to execution. Being the primary point of contact for Cash matters to Middle East & Africa clients.
  • Identify cross-regional client and industry segments with potential Cash opportunities and structure product solutions specific to the client/industry segment.
  • Lead initiatives including events that facilitate Citi Services Solutions in deepening client relationships, strengthen Citi brand as an industry thought leader, etc. Contribute to growing the CCB Middle East & Africa business through strategic thinking and taking-on special projects.
  • Work with Citi Services teams across product, sales and implementation to own the execution of the deals won.
  • Increasing customer volumes/revenues in a dynamic and evolving environment.

  • Interpersonal and communication skills for effective presentations, pitches and conversions.
  • Ability to quickly identify problems and solutions leveraging Cash product propositions, business drivers, policies, customer needs and market trends
