Job Overview

Summary:

The Asset Services Associate, specializing in LATAM income events, is responsible for the accurate, efficient, and compliant processing of income-related transactions, with a focus on the Latin American region. This role requires strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail to manage reconciliations, process payments, and resolve inquiries related to income events. The Associate will ensure adherence to market-specific regulations and contribute to high client satisfaction. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of income processing, strong analytical skills, and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end reconciliation and processing of positions related to income events (e.g., dividends, interest) for LATAM markets.
  • Ensure efficient, effective, and timely execution of client instructions for income-related events, adhering to LATAM-specific market practices and regulations.
  • Reconcile, process, and facilitate payments for dividend and interest events across various LATAM markets.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for inquiries related to income servicing events in the LATAM region, providing clear and concise communication.
  • Perform in-depth analysis to identify and resolve the root causes of operational issues impacting LATAM income processing.
  • Actively participate in compliance-related activities, adhering to established procedures and controls, and staying current with LATAM market regulations concerning income events.
  • Provide support and coverage for team members during periods of high workload and perform other assigned duties.
  • Assess risks associated with business decisions, demonstrating a strong commitment to protecting Citigroup's reputation, clients, and assets through compliance with laws, regulations, and ethical conduct. Escalate, manage, and report control issues with transparency.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, external vendors, and clients within the LATAM region.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in financial services operations, with a specific focus on income event processing or corporate actions in LATAM markets.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Security services experience is preferred, with knowledge of LATAM market practices for income events.
  • Strong understanding of cash flows, accounting treatments, operational controls, and market practices related to income processing in LATAM.
  • Proven ability to work effectively as a team player in a multicultural environment.

Education:

  • Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience.

Working Hours: M-F; 9-6 pm EST
