Your role

You will be joining the Common Linux team, supporting the development and maintenance of Yocto-based Linux distributions used across multiple product lines and hardware platforms. This is a collaborative, international team where your contributions will have real impact across a broad portfolio of embedded products. You will have the opportunity to grow your technical expertise while working on meaningful, complex challenges in the embedded Linux space.

Your tasks

  • Integrating and maintaining embedded Linux software across existing hardware platforms, supporting kernel configuration, low-level debugging, and occasional patching.
  • Contributing to user-space tooling, scripting, and automation tasks using languages such as Bash and Python.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide Linux expertise and support across multiple product lines.
  • Helping to improve internal Linux processes, testing pipelines, and technical documentation to drive efficiency and quality.
  • Growing into contributing to platform architecture and long-term Linux strategy, with the opportunity to shape the direction of the Common Linux team over time.

Your profile

  • Solid hands-on experience with embedded Linux development, covering user space and/or kernel space work.
  • Familiarity with the Yocto Project or a comparable Linux build framework such as Buildroot candidates motivated to learn Yocto on the job are equally welcome.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming, particularly Bash and Python, with the ability to work across multiple languages as needed.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with experience maintaining and troubleshooting Linux-based systems.
