Our Transition Programme Managers lead complex transition and transformation programmes within large managed service environments, providing innovation in solution design, maximizing commercial benefit and delivering operational efficiency, whilst ensuring client expectations are met.


Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your role

  • You will lead the transition input to our bids, developing viable solutions, plans and costs, balancing commercial risk and price competitiveness.
  • You manage the whole process of transferring services from incumbent service providers into Capgemini, ensuring service levels are maintained throughout.
  • You own programme governance, financial control, delivery plans, risks, dependencies and stakeholder management, ensuring programmes are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed business outcomes.
  • You develop innovative, comprehensive, realistic and effective plans that meet client needs and expectations, helping to shape and manage client expectations throughout delivery.
  • You operate in difficult, complex or political environments taking full responsibility for outcomes, representing and promoting the group internally and externally, including at board level.
  • You develop strategic partnerships and strong relationships with internal and external clients, whilst leading and building effective delivery teams to meet business objectives and transition requirements.

Your skills and experience

  • Extensive programme management experience gained within managed service environments, with ownership of governance, budgets, executive reporting and delivery across complex multi-workstream programmes.
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale IT service transitions and/or transformation programmes, ensuring service readiness, stability and continuous improvement across complex environments.
  • Strong stakeholder, commercial and client management skills, with experience managing senior stakeholders, supplier relationships, programme financials, negotiations and revenues in the £1m£10m range.
  • Broad understanding of managed services and IT domains (e.g. Cloud, Infrastructure, Service Desk, Cyber Security and SIAM), with experience supporting business growth through client engagement, bid/proposal input, capability development and innovation.
