YOUR ROLE
Join a global technology team delivering solutions for a large international financial services organisation. You will contribute to business-critical applications supporting securities financing and collateral management processes used across multiple regions. The team works in a highly collaborative international environment and is responsible for the full lifecycle of modern enterprise applications.
Location: Budapest, Hungary (Hybrid)
This position follows a hybrid working model in Budapest, requiring employees to work onsite approximately 50% of the time. We are currently considering applicants who are based in Hungary and eligible to work in Hungary.
YOU WILL
- Design, develop and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and Angular technologies
- Take ownership of features throughout the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to production deployment
- Collaborate directly with business stakeholders and distributed technology teams
- Work across the full technology stack, contributing to both backend and frontend solutions
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development standards, engineering practices and delivery processes
- Apply TDD principles and promote scalable, stable and maintainable solutions
- Support the modernization and enhancement of strategic business platforms used globally
YOU HAVE
- 5 - 7 years of experience in Java software development
- Hands-on experience with Spring Framework
- Strong hands-on experience with Angular and TypeScript
- Experience working with relational databases
- Experience with automated testing frameworks (JUnit, Cucumber, JBehave or similar)
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux environments
- Experience with source control and CI/CD tools such as Git, Bitbucket and Jenkins
- Excellent communication skills and experience working with international teams
Nice to Have
- Experience in financial services environments
- Exposure to Scala
- Strong client-focused mindset
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in global teams
