Your role

We are now looking for Senior Data Scientists to scale our Data & AI Capabilities within the Engineering Practices of Capgemini. You will be part of a diverse and inclusive team of Data Scientists, Data Engineers and AI Engineers, working on a variety of client challenges within the Automotive, Manufacturing, Life Science, Defence, Retail and Telecom industries.

You will deliver value to Nordic clients through senior-level assignments, transforming data into actionable insights and predictive solutions. You will contribute to solution design and presales activities, mentor junior colleagues, and act as a Subject Matter Expert in Data Science, Advanced Analytics and Machine Learning. Collaboration with other engineering practices to drive data-driven decision-making is key.

In this role you will play a key role in:

  • Leading data science projects and provide analytical expertise to clients.
  • Develop predictive, prescriptive and statistical models to solve complex business challenges.
  • Support presales activities and help shape data-driven solutions for clients.
  • Drive competence development and mentor junior team members.
  • Communicate insights and recommendations to both technical and business stakeholders.

Your profile

  • Degree (Masters or PhD) in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Science, Advanced Analytics, or Machine Learning
  • Strong programming skills in Python and/or R, with expertise in statistical analysis, predictive modelling, and machine learning.
  • Experience working with SQL, large-scale datasets, data preparation, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis.
  • Proven track record in end-to-end ML model lifecycle management, including development, validation, deployment, monitoring, and experimentation (e.g., A/B testing).
  • Hands-on experience with ML frameworks (Scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow, PyTorch), data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau), and cloud/data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery).

We value flexibility to adapt in high-paced working environments, as well as the ability to lead your own tasks and coordinate others. Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken, are essential.

We are reviewing candidates continuously and are flexible in discussing start dates. Most of our clients are based in Gothenburg; however, we also have opportunities in other locations. Therefore, we welcome applications from candidates based outside Gothenburg, provided they can travel as required for client assignments. Candidates based in Gothenburg will be prioritized.

In this recruitment process, we may ask about your current citizenship. This is due to some of our projects being aimed at the military and defence industry. For those openings, Swedish citizenship is required. We will also perform an ID check during the interview phase for all candidates.
