Your role

As an R2R Finance and Accounting Manager (German) , you will serve as a key expert within the Record to Report function, ensuring high-quality execution of accounting processes and compliance with internal controls. You will manage complex accounting activities, support financial closing and reporting, analyze financial data, and provide meaningful recommendations to stakeholders. In this role, you will also contribute to process optimization and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and drive continuous improvement.

Your tasks

  • Take ownership of General Ledger accounting activities for assigned entities.
  • Coordinate and oversee month-end closing, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Monitor and analyze account balances and financial movements, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with Tax and Corporate Finance teams to ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS requirements and implement accounting-related changes.
  • Act as the main point of contact for internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and financial controls.
  • Support process improvement, standardization, and automation initiatives within the R2R area.
  • Provide guidance and knowledge support to accounting team members.

Your profile

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting, finance, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, or financial analysis.
  • Proven experience in managing accounting activities for legal entities or country-level operations.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS, with the ability to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting.
  • Experience supporting, coaching, or advising General Ledger accounting teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across the organization.
  • Fluent English and German (written and spoken).
