YOUR ROLE

In this role you will be the key technical owner of a Red Hat OpenShift platform, ensuring its availability, security, scalability and continuous evolution in a hybrid enterprise environment.

  • Administering, configuring and evolving Red Hat OpenShift clusters, ensuring high availability, performance and security across containerised environments
  • Managing compute, network and storage resources within the platform, implementing updates, patches and security hardening measures
  • Proactively monitoring platform health using Prometheus and Grafana, identifying issues before they impact services and driving continuous optimisation
  • Supporting development teams in the adoption of DevOps, CI/CD, GitOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, acting as a platform enabler for engineering teams
  • Resolving incidents, troubleshooting complex platform issues and automating operational processes using Python, Bash scripting and YAML
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams across Development, Systems and Infrastructure to ensure best practices in platform operations and security

YOUR PROFILE

  • At least 3 years of experience in Linux system administration, with strong hands-on expertise in Red Hat OpenShift this is the core requirement for this role
  • Solid working knowledge of Kubernetes, container orchestration principles, and experience managing services such as Redis and RabbitMQ in production environments
  • Proven experience with observability tooling, particularly Prometheus and Grafana, with the ability to design and maintain monitoring dashboards and alerting systems
  • Scripting and automation skills in Python, with additional knowledge of Bash and YAML being highly valued
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows and Infrastructure as Code practices, with a proactive and problem-solving mindset
  • Knowledge of Trilio (backup and recovery for OpenShift) is a strong differentiating factor
