Your role

You will be responsible for leading and growing Capgemini Engineering's Sydney-based Embedded Electronics capability.

  • Lead, mentor and develop Sydney's Embedded Electronics capability, including Electronics, Embedded Firmware and Systems Engineering disciplines
  • Drive technical excellence and continuous improvement across the capability
  • Manage team utilisation, resource planning and forecasting to support delivery objectives
  • Work closely with project managers and technical leaders to align engineering resources with project requirements
  • Provide technical leadership and governance across new product development programs
  • Guide technical decision-making, architecture development and design review activities
  • Support delivery teams in managing technical risks and resolving complex engineering challenges
  • Promote engineering best practice across electronics, embedded firmware and systems development
  • Support multidisciplinary product development programs involving electronics, firmware, software, mechanical engineering and industrial design
  • Contribute to project planning, estimation and delivery execution activities
  • Support project delivery performance through effective risk management and resource allocation
  • Assist with preparation of proposals, statements of work, engineering estimates and client presentations
  • Support business development activities and contribute to strategic growth initiatives
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with company processes, quality systems and engineering standard

Your profile

  • Degree qualification in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related discipline
  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build, develop and lead high-performing engineering teams
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality engineering outcomes and fostering engineering excellence
  • Passion for mentoring engineers and growing technical capability within a consulting and product development environment
