What youll be working on as a Scada Devops engineer for Power Management Systems

Hours: 32 / 36 / 40

Location: Utrecht or Eindhoven

Level of experience: Medior / Senior

As a SCADA Devops Engineer for Power Managemet systems at Capgemini Engineering, you will help maintain and enhance mission-critical infrastructure for a leading European transmission system operator. Youll work on EMS/SCADA platforms that control high-voltage electricity networks as part of the Control Room of the Future initiative. In this role, you will (or be willing to learn to):

  • Monitor and optimize performance of SCADA systems across high-voltage electricity networks.
  • Develop automation solutions for upgrades, patches, and configuration management.
  • Coordinate incident resolution under pressure, including Priority-one scenarios.
  • Maintain runbooks, protocols, and documentation for power management systems.
  • Translate functional requirements into technical specifications and user stories.

Your profile

You have:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Several years of experience with SCADA systems in energy or utility environments.
  • Knowledge of EMS, Energy Networks, TSO, High Availability and Real-time systems are a big plus.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Ansible) and Linux system administration.
  • Interest in applying modern technologies, including AI-driven tooling where relevant.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and virtualized deployment environments.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

  • From senior level (grade C), you will receive an annual bonus (tantième).
