YOUR ROLE
- Support the design, development, and engineering validation of automotive components within one of the following domains: Exterior Systems, Body in White, or Sealing-Glazing-Mechanisms, throughout the vehicle development lifecycle.
- Analyze and interpret engineering requirements, technical specifications, CAD models, drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing feasibility to ensure product performance, quality, and cost targets are achieved.
- Participate in supplier technical reviews, design validation activities, benchmarking studies, and problem-solving initiatives to improve design robustness and manufacturability.
- Support technical and cost-related evaluations when required, including basic cost assessments, design-to-cost activities, and cost optimization opportunities.
YOUR PROFILE
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Design Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive design, product development, or technical engineering roles.
- Strong technical knowledge in at least one of the following areas:
- Exterior Systems: Fascias, Spoilers, Grilles, Claddings, and Trim Components.
- Body in White (BIW): Body structures, Closures, Sheet Metal Components, Welding Assemblies, and Structural Systems.
- Lighting and/or Sealing-Glazing-Mechanisms: Headlamps, Tail Lamps, Interior Lighting, Sealing Systems, Glass Components, Window Regulators, Latches, Hinges, and Related Mechanisms.
- Strong understanding of automotive design principles, manufacturing processes, materials, DFMEA, DFM/DFA, and product development methodologies.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, technical specifications, CAD data, and validation requirements.
- Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid environment in Santa Fe, CDMX.
