Analytics Support Consultant (Power BI & Microsoft Fabric)
Position Summary

The Analytics Support Consultant is responsible for supporting and sustaining enterprise analytics solutions, with a focus on Power BI and Microsoft Fabric data products. This role ensures the reliability, performance, and usability of reports, dashboards, and semantic models while enabling business users through effective support and self-service capabilities.The consultant partners with business stakeholders, Data Product teams, and IT to troubleshoot issues, deliver enhancements, and promote adoption of governed analytics solutions aligned with the enterprise data strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support for Power BI reports, dashboards, and Fabric data products
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data, report, and performance issues
  • Support report enhancements, testing, and deployments
  • Monitor data refreshes, pipelines, and data quality; escalate issues as needed
  • Assist with data validation and reconciliation of reporting discrepancies
  • Partner with stakeholders to intake and prioritize support and enhancement requests
  • Enable self-service analytics through user support, training, and documentation
  • Apply governance, security (RLS/OLS), and best practices within Power BI/Fabric
  • Maintain documentation for reports, semantic models, and support processes
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering and Data Product teams on issue resolution and roadmap alignment

Qualifications

  • 37+ years of experience in analytics, BI support, or related roles
  • Strong experience with Power BI; exposure to Microsoft Fabric preferred
  • Proficiency in SQL (T-SQL preferred)
  • Experience supporting dashboards, semantic models, and data visualizations
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Understanding of data modeling concepts (e.g., star schema)
    Experience working in Agile or similar environments

Preferred

  • Microsoft certifications (Power BI Data Analyst, Fabric Analytics Engineer)
  • Experience with data governance tools (e.g., Microsoft Purview)
  • Familiarity with data pipelines / ETL processes
  • Experience in financial services or regulated industries
