YOUR ROLE

As a Data Strategy & Governance Specialist, you will be a key contributor to our Data Strategy & Governance team, working at the intersection of business, technology, and data. You will help organisations understand, structure, and govern their data assets in a meaningful and sustainable way.

In this role you will play a key role in:

  • Identifying, mapping, and documenting data assets, entities, attributes, and business relationships, ensuring a clear and comprehensive view of the organisation's data landscape
  • Gathering and documenting source systems, data flows, and business rules, working closely with Data Owners, Data Stewards, and business teams to formalise and validate information
  • Identifying information gaps and data quality issues, and driving initiatives to resolve them through structured governance frameworks and best practices
  • Ensuring correct cataloguing, classification, and governance of data assets in alignment with Data Lineage, Metadata Management, Data Quality, and Master Data Management standards
  • Contributing to Data Modelling activities and collaborating with data architecture teams and the AI leadership to support the design and evolution of modern data platforms

YOUR PROFILE

We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented professional who brings both technical depth and strong interpersonal skills to a complex and fast-evolving data environment.

  • 7+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related data discipline, with hands-on expertise in data cataloguing, classification, and documentation of data assets
  • Strong knowledge of Data Lineage, Metadata Management, Data Quality, and Master Data Management, with the ability to translate data requirements into functional specifications and governance rules
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory, Data Engineering, Data Science and Power BI) and/or modern data architecture concepts such as Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold), Data Mesh, Data Products and Data Ownership is a plus
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills, with a strong client and business orientation, a rigorous approach to work, and a focus on process quality and stakeholder alignment
