Job Title: CM - BUSINESS ANALYST - Glasgow

Job Summary

Business Analyst specializing in capital markets, trading systems, and payment infrastructure, responsible for translating business requirements into functional and technical solutions. Focused on enabling secure and efficient cash movement linked to securities transactions, including settlement, margin, and corporate action payments. Works across front office, operations, and treasury teams to deliver robust solutions with strong emphasis on accuracy, risk control, and regulatory compliance.

Hybrid working:
The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Job Role

  • Gather, analyse, and document business requirements related to trade settlement, payments (DvP, PvP), margin processing, and corporate actions
  • Map end-to-end processes across trade lifecycle, clearing, settlement, and cash movement (As-Is and To-Be)
  • Define functional specifications including BRDs, FRDs, and user stories
  • Design payment workflows, including RTGS, net settlement, and SWIFT messaging (MT/MX formats)
  • Perform system analysis across payment platforms, SWIFT gateways, clearing systems (CCPs), and custody/CSD platforms
  • Define data mappings for trade, settlement, and payment instructions
  • Support SIT and UAT phases, ensuring validation of payment accuracy, reconciliation, and settlement completeness
  • Act as a liaison between IT teams, business users, and external stakeholders (custodians, clearing houses)
  • Ensure risk controls such as DvP and settlement risk mitigation are embedded in processes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet operational and liquidity management requirements
