Job Description:

  • Responsible for leading Material Requirements Planning (MRP) activities for China PU to ensure material availability, inventory accuracy, and stable supply support for production and customer demand.
  • Work closely with BTC and FBT planners to translate demand and supply signals into executable material plans, balancing service, inventory, and cost performance.
  • Drive planning discipline, data accuracy, and cross-functional coordination with Procurement, Production, Warehouse, Logistics, and Finance to support reliable operations and continuous improvement.

1.       Lead end-to-end MRP activities for China PU, including review of demand, supply, inventory, planning parameters, and system messages to ensure material readiness for production.

2.       Cooperate closely with BTC and FBT planners to align forecast, production plans, material supply priorities, and exception handling across the planning horizon.

3.       Analyze material requirements, identify shortages, excess, and slow-moving inventory, and drive corrective actions to protect customer service and inventory health.

4.       Convert MRP outputs into actionable supply plans and coordinate with Procurement, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to secure on-time material availability.

5.       Maintain and optimize key planning parameters such as lead time, MOQ, lot size, safety stock, reorder point, and planning calendars to improve system effectiveness.

6.       Monitor master data quality for materials, BOMs, suppliers, and planning settings, ensuring data accuracy, governance, and audit readiness.

7.       Lead regular material review meetings and provide clear visibility of risks, gaps, and recovery plans to cross-functional teams and management.

8.       Drive continuous improvement in planning processes, inventory turns, service level, and exception management through standardization and system optimization.

9.       Prepare and report key planning KPIs such as material availability, shortage risk, inventory level, forecast adherence, and supplier performance.

  • Set and recommend planning parameters, material priorities, and recovery actions for China PU within agreed planning governance and escalation rules.
  • Escalate supply risks and recommend inventory, expedite, or reallocation decisions in alignment with BTC/FBT planners and cross-functional stakeholders.

Education

         Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.

         Fluent in English; Mandarin capability preferred for effective local coordination in China.

Experience

         5+ years of experience in material planning, MRP, supply planning, production planning, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment.

         Proven experience working with ERP/MRP systems and cross-functional teams, with strong collaboration exposure to procurement, production, warehouse, and regional/global planners.

Skills & Competencies

         Strong knowledge of MRP logic, inventory management, supply planning, and material flow in a manufacturing environment.

         Solid analytical capability in shortage analysis, inventory optimization, parameter setting, and KPI reporting.

         Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate across China PU and collaborate with BTC/FBT planners.

         Proficiency in JDE/SAP or other ERP/MRP tools and strong Excel skills; structured, detail-oriented, and capable of driving continuous improvement.


Travel Requirement

Some travel may be required with this role, this is negotiable
