Job Description:

The Senior Technologist is part of the Americas Technology Deployment team and reports to the Senior Manager, Americas Technology Deployment. This role is responsible for delivering OD&I projects in line with business priorities while providing technical leadership and support across the MCCA market for all Castrol product lines. The position plays a key role in driving technical excellence, supporting product stewardship, addressing customer and quality issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.

Job Summary

Provide centralized technical support across all product areas, including product applications, specifications, formulations, and raw material interchange guidance to technology teams.

Manage raw material shortages, regulatory requirements, and compliance issues that impact multiple countries within the region.

Resolve customer issues escalated by Technology Deployment Hubs, ensuring timely and effective technical solutions.

Manage local product registrations within the region and represent Castrol on technical boards and industry forums, as required.

Develop and communicate updates on technology progress, product claims capabilities, and opportunities for new products or enhancements.

Build strong networks with subject matter experts and encourage knowledge sharing to drive continuous improvement.

Provide technical leadership and coaching to less experienced colleagues, supporting capability development across the team.

Support quality incidents and provide leadership for complex incidents affecting multiple countries or business segments.

Provide technical input to Product Development teams based on market trends, customer feedback, and product performance insights to generate value for the business.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.

Experience in lubricant development, formulation support, and product modification within a technical specialization.

Broad knowledge of Castrol lubricant products, including composition, manufacturing processes, specifications, and applications.

Experience working in a regional or multinational environment with cross-functional stakeholders.

Strong understanding of business interfaces across Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Product Development, and Research teams.

Skills & Competencies

Strong technical expertise in lubricant technologies, formulations, product applications, and industry regulations.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical and commercially viable solutions.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple functions.

Effective project management and prioritization skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Ability to build relationships and networks that enhance collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Demonstrated leadership and coaching capabilities with a focus on developing technical talent.
