Role - Data Analyst

Location - Pune, India

As a Data Analyst at bp pulse, you will play a vital role in delivering data-driven solutions to meet diverse business requirements. You will utilise your technical expertise in analytical techniques, testing, and data interpretation to support investigative research and provide clear conclusions and recommendations to stakeholders. Your work will ensure safe, compliant, and reliable experimental operations, while actively contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organisation to understand their needs, challenges, and opportunities, providing them with actionable insights. Using tools such as SQL, Python, Power BI, you will process, analyse, and communicate data effectively, presenting complex information in a clear and concise manner. Compliance with relevant data standards and policies will be a key responsibility, as will supporting data quality and governance initiatives.

In addition, you will work alongside the data management and data science teams to enhance the businesss data capabilities and drive innovation. Youll support and be supported by activities in business analysis, data management, and digital innovation, ensuring the delivery of high-quality data solutions and improvements.

Responsibilities -

Provide technical expertise in analytical techniques, testing, data interpretation and insight generation

Conduct investigative research and deliver conclusions and recommendations to stakeholders.

Ensure safe, compliant, and reliable experimental operations.

Support continuous improvement across data-driven activities.

Process, analyse, and communicate data insights using SQL, Python, Power BI

Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver relevant, actionable information.

Ensure compliance with data standards and policies.

Support data quality and governance initiatives.

Collaborate with data management and data science teams to enhance data capabilities and innovation.

Experience

3+ years' experience in data analytics preferably within the energy or automotive sector

Bachelors degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative field.

Experience in data analysis, reporting, and visualisation using SQL, Python, Power BI

Strong understanding of data structures, models, and processes.

Experience working in Cloud Environments preferably Databricks and AWS

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly.

Proven track record in analyzing data using statistical and machine learning techniques

Curiosity and passion for data, problem-solving, and continuous learning.

Knowledge of the electric vehicle and renewable energy sector is desirable but not essential.

Self-starter mentality and passionate about continuous improvement and process efficiency

Experience working independently and managing a busy workload, with the ability to demonstrate effective prioritisation of work

Great interpersonal and stakeholder management skills- Data Storytelling experience
