Job Title: Software Asset Manager

About Business line/Function: BNP Paribas Cardif is the insurance subsidiary of BNP Paribas. We are a worldwide leader of the Credit Protection Insurance market with strong positions in savings and protection insurance in more than 30 countries in Europe, Asia and Latin America.
The IT Asset Management and Optimization (ITAMO) service within the IT Department is responsible for managing IT assets to improve control over operational risks and costs. This service globally oversees Cardifs asset registers and IT management tools to support compliance and riskmanagement requirements for our IT activities and to control spending and investments related to our IT footprint. In this regard, the service monitors the health of IT assets by identifying critical components (underutilization, toxicity, etc.), helps reduce software spending through the rationalization of publisher contracts and usage, and finally facilitates the identification of optimizations for infrastructureservice expenditures delivered by the Groups IT providers.
Position Purpose:
We are looking for a Software Asset Manager to join our global IT team.
In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and improving software compliance across multiple countries(entities) within CARDIF. Working closely with local IT Teams, procurement, you will help ensure that software deployments comply with licensing agreements and internal governance standards.
You will join an international team where you can develop your expertise in Software Asset Management while working on global compliance initiatives. The role provides exposure to wide a range of software vendors, international stakeholders, and best practices in software governance.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
Software Compliance Assessment:
Plan and coordinate Group, Cardif, local inventory campaigns
Collect software and licensing data from international entities
Ensure data completeness, consistency and quality
Consolidate information into SAM Tools
Compliance Analysis
Analyze software compliance positions
Identify licensing gaps and compliance risks.
Product compliance assessments and executive summaries.
Present findings to stakeholders.
Country Support
Collaborate with SAM local teams to collect, validate and reconcile software deployment information
Organize and facilitate regular meetings.
Support entities in defining and implementing remediation plans.
Support software audits and maintain accurate software asset records
Provide guidance on licensing best practices.
License Optimization
Identify optimization opportunities
Recommend actions to reduce software costs and compliance risks
Contribute to continuous improvement of SAM process
Reporting & Governance
Develop and maintain dashboard and KPIs
Produce management reports
Track remediation plans and actions items
Prepare communication and presentation materials
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
Good knowledge of Software Asset Management (SAM)
Strong understanding of software licensing models for major publishers (Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, SAP, VMWAre, Tibco etc..)
Experience analyzing software inventories
Experience with tools such as Excel (advanced), Power BI or similar reporting tools
Knowledge of SAM platforms sus as Flexera, ServiceNow or USU
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, virtualization and cloud environments.
