Job Title: Senior / Test Analyst (Automation)

Department: ITG CDF

About Business line/Function: ITG is a group function established recently (2019) in ISPL with presence in Mumbai, Chennai. We collaborate with various business lines of the group to provide IT Services.

Position Purpose: Automation testing using Playwright (JavaScript)

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

         Define test automation strategy and KPIs; track and report on automation health (flakiness, execution time, defect leakage).

         Design and implement a scalable test automation framework for Playwright.

         Design and develop robust, maintainable Playwright test suites (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python or C#) using industry standard patterns (Page Object Model, Test Data Builder, etc.).

         Ensure reliable execution on multiple browsers (Chrome, Edge etc).

         Investigate test failures, log defects with clear reproduction steps

         Mentor junior QA engineers on Playwright best practices, coding standards, and test design techniques.

         Maintain test data management (fixtures, environment configuration, secrets handling) and ensure test isolation and repeatability.

         Continuously improve the automation framework incorporate new Playwright features, third party libraries and performance/ accessibility testing tools where appropriate.

         Automate test cases using ServiceNow ATF

Contributing Responsibilities

         Based on the test strategy and specifications (requirements, general and detailed specifications), ensures coverage of requirements by test cases

         Work with Product Owners for functional understanding of ServiceNow GRC applications

         Ensures the execution of the tests (executes the campaigns, instructs the anomalies, products of proofs and reports)

         Identify bugs and raise risks

         Adapts existing test cases following changes made in the application

Technical Competencies

         Experience in defining test automation framework 

         Experience in creating Playwright scripts for test automation

         Experience in test case creation, test execution and defect creation and tracking

         Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing

         Ability to document and troubleshoot errors

Specific Qualifications: Playwright Experience. Preference will be provided to candidates with exposure to ServiceNow.
