Department: Asset Management Investment Operations 

About Business line/Function: Asset Management Position Keeping

 Position Purpose:

BNP Paribas Asset Management is part of BNP Paribas Group and is responsible for the process of managing and monitoring assets, on behalf of individual and corporate clients.  BNPP AM offers funds and mandates towards its clients.  These funds & mandates are managed by Portfolio Managers, who are based in different locations across the globe.  

Investment Operations is responsible for handling and monitoring all services, so that the Portfolio Managers can manage daily their portfolios. 

The role of Reconciliations within operations, is essential to ensure that all information in our position keeping tools is accurate and in line with service providers and client expectations. As a Reconciliation administrator, you will be responsible for providing to clients precise data by identifying any potential discrepancies in cash and positions and investigating accordingly. Contribute to a continuous improvement of processes.

Responsibilities:

Direct Responsibilities

  • Perform daily Cash, ETD & Securities reconciliation between bank statements received from custodians / various clearing agents versus our position-keeping tool and perform the cash publish activity with the stipulated time and accuracy.
  • Liaise with portfolio managers, service providers and various teams within Ops to maintain the accuracy as per the specification in our position keeping tool.  Update internal reports and monitor outstanding breaks in cooperation with custodians, accountants, clearers and teams within investment Ops.
  • Escalate timecritical breaks to senior staff according to defined SLA thresholds.
  • Follow up on open items to ensure timely closure.
  • Identify recurring issues and suggest automation or workflow enhancements.
  • In line with client requests, compile and prepare reports at various frequencies throughout the month. Provide a monthly validation for reporting via the green light process confirming all data on our accounts are accurate.

  • Good verbal and written communication

Specific Qualifications:

Graduates (Finance preferred)  

Candidates should be willing and flexible to work in any shifts

  • Exposure to basic Microsoft tools like Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
  • Familiarity with custodial and clearing systems
