Position Purpose: BNP Paribas IT teams are providing infrastructure, development and production support services to all applications used worldwide by all business lines. There is a great variety of technologies and infrastructures from legacy systems to cutting edge Cloud technologies.

Within BNP Paribas Group IT, the filiere FORTIS oversees operationally to the challenges of IT applications with an end-to-end vision and consistently across the Bank. Several domains of these filiere contribute to this, including the domain Service Offering DevOps, which provides the DevSecOps platform for IT Group, Control Center, DB Activities and move to Cloud project.

Responsibilities

The job mainly consists of the following elements:

  • 7/7 24/24 monitoring (by the control room) of IT-infrastructure and applicative components BNPPF
  • Providing first line for all and second line support for workplace and applicative solutions
  • Providing IT workplace equipment to end users (excl individual smart devices)
  • We are gatekeeper of operational change management.
  • IT Continuity (perform DRP Disaster Recovery Program)

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

As OPS engineer:

       To ensure that all deployments are conducted on schedule, are fully deployed, implemented, and function in the operational environments.

       To help prepare the detailed runbook by identifying all stakeholders and related actions.

       To analyze all technical dependencies between the different components.

       To update the Current State Architecture document based on detailed technical design. 

       To update or create all documentation for support.

As incident solver in run mode:

       To find, advice and implement solutions in order to solve incidents

       To document the resolution progress and the applied solutions

       To investigate, analyze and document incident cause and solution

       To evaluate with the squad Scrum Master if an incident has to be escalated to the Incident Manager on duty (iMod)

Technical Experience:

Mandatory

                Basic Knowledge of  Wintel, Unix & Linux Environment

       Good knowledge at Control-M

                Basic Operating system:  Aix, Unix, Linux, Windows Server

                Basic Database oracle / SQL

                MS Office XLS, Word, PPT

       Bash scripting development is mandatory. Candidate needs to be able to write a script from scratch. Not only read or modify it.

       Multiple years of experience in creating schedules in CTRL-M even with basic info from Development team.

       Being able to point out logical errors in requests they get. For this, you need project experience. Autonomy.

       Able to manage autonomously big migration projects in CTRL-M in collaboration with development team.

       In depth error analysis, not only reading the log or sysout but be able to do a complete analysis of the incident.

       Being able to point out where the error is located even if its in a technology you dont manage.

Preferable

       Experience in a second line

       Some knowledge about cloud environments

       WebSphere experience

       Experience in deployment of business applications.
