Job Title: Support Analyst
Department: Global Markets APS Position Risk and PNL
About Business line/Function:
Global Market Application Support teams are providing 24/7 support to users all around the world and are themselves located across several sites (Mumbai, Paris, New York). GECD Risk & Ref Application Support production team (globally 25 people on Jan 2016) is in charge of GECD Risk & Ref applications support used by FO,MO, BO teams . These central applications are used all over the world (Paris, New York, London, Geneva, Milan, Hong-Kong, Tokyo, etc...)
Position Purpose:
GM IT FRMR Application supports provide 24/7 support to different FRMR applications. Main purpose of APS team is to ensure high availability and stability of the applications and also to ensure users have their queries addresses in timely manner for them to perform their day-to-day trading activities.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
1. Monitor the applications (presentation and middleware layers, database, scheduled tasks)
2. Incident troubleshooting, communicate status to end users, prevent future occurrences
3. Deploy new releases and patches in production
4. Implement application configuration changes
5. Automate and schedule applicative production and recurrent tasks
6. Work on projects related to application improvement, migrations
7. Manage Staging environments
8. Define, implement and maintain the disaster recovery plan
Contributing Responsibilities
1. Study application evolutions with the development and business analysis teams
2. Create and maintain documentation
3. Gather knowledge and share within the teams
4. Suggest improvements to help team reduce repetitive BAU tasks
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
Knowledge & Understanding of Apache, Tomcat
Excellent knowledge and understanding of Oracle 11g/PLSQL/
Knowledge & Understanding of Deployments on tomcat
Understanding of Shell scripts
Excellent Understanding of Windows/UNIX operating system
Excellent Communication Skills
Business/Customer facing skills
ITIL Foundation level trained / certified.
Specific Qualifications:
Knowledge of PL/SQL, Tomcat, Apache, Deployments, Windows and Unix are essential for the role.
