About the Job 

The Accounting trainee is responsible for helping in the production and deliver of regulatory reports on an accurate and timely manner for the entities under remit.

   
Your Main Activities Are 

• Participate in the monthly closing process for the entities under remit 
• Produce and deliver the regulatory reports on an accurate and timely manner for the entities under remit 
• Implement controls and reviews on the regulatory reports with respect to their compliance with local regulatory reporting rules 
• Act as interlocutor towards Central Bank of Portugal on all regulatory returns arising during and after the reporting periods on the designated reports submitted under responsibility 
• Recommend and seek to implement procedures and processes that improve the quality of the reports 
• Work across Finance and other functions within the Bank to collaborate and develop cross-validation of reported numbers and promote understanding of regulatory reporting requirements and impacts 
• Coordinate and collaborate in projects related with regulatory reporting 
• Contribute to the maintenance, under the coordination of Fresh Team, of a detailed issue log report ensuring follow-up on the matters arising during the course of the monthly financial reporting process 
• Ensure the existence of up to date procedures and controls to cover all activities under the scope of responsibility
    

Profile and Skills to Success

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Management, Fincance or any similar areas 
• Advanced level of english and portuguese fluency, both oral and written 
• Experience using Microsoft Office Tools, particularly Excel, Word and Powerpoint 
• Attention to detail, proactivity, analytical and time managment skills
