Key Responsibilities

  • Resolve production issues quickly and engage additional resources when needed to restore service.
  • Prioritise issues effectively based on business impact and urgency.
  • Monitor trading platform components across all asset classes and contribute to improving the efficiency of monitoring tools.
  • Support and maintain both Production and UAT environments.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with users onsite and remotely.
  • Document system components, processes, and future enhancements.
  • Work closely with Development teams to ensure smooth handover of new systems and releases to Support.
  • Provide clear updates on outages and incidents to the business.
  • Support regulatory and reporting requirements.
  • Identify operational risks and help close any gaps.

Ensure team members receive required training.

Skills

  • BS or MS in Computer Science with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong appetite for learning new technologies and tools.
  • Knowledge of FX, UST, or Futures markets.
  • Understanding of FIX and/or low
    latency protocols (ITCH/OUCH).
  • Experience with FIX or FIX onboarding workflows (beneficial but not mandatory).
  • Experience with messaging buses (e.g., JMS).
  • Previous exposure to electronic or high
    frequency trading systems.
  • Understanding of STP trade flows.
  • Strong networking knowledge with the ability to analyse packet captures.
  • Advanced Unix skills (TCP stack tuning, CPU affinity).
  • Scripting experience in at least one language.
  • Exchange connectivity experience is a plus.

    service mindset with excellent communication skills.
