Cantor Fitzgerald, with over 16,000 employees, has been a leading global financial services firm at the forefront of financial and technological innovation since 1945.

Cantor is a preeminent investment bank serving more than 5,000 institutional clients around the world, recognized for its strengths in fixed income and equity capital markets, investment banking, SPAC underwriting, PIPE placements, commercial real estate, and for its global distribution platform. Capitalizing on the firms financial acumen and technology prowess, Cantors portfolio of businesses also includes Prime Brokerage, Asset Management, and other businesses and ventures. Cantor has consistently fueled the growth of original ideas, pioneered new markets, and provided superior service to clients. Cantor operates trading desks in every major financial center globally, with offices in over 30 locations around the world.

As one of the few remaining private partnerships on Wall Street, Cantor has the distinct ability to focus on long-term value creation and solid relationship building. Our structure allows us to respond quickly to client needs, develop solutions that address complex challenges, avoid the limitations of bureaucracy, and attract talented individuals who are driven to succeed.

The Real Estate Investment Banking group at Cantor Fitzgerald is a growing team of dedicated bankers that has successfully executed transactions across M&A advisory, equity capital markets, and debt capital markets. Associates will work on assignments spanning all major real estate sectors including data centers, industrial, healthcare, multifamily, retail, net lease, and office and across all investment banking products. Lean transaction teams give Associates significant ownership over live deals and direct exposure to senior bankers and clients from day one. We are looking for candidates with a deep overlapping interest in real estate and investment banking, strong quantitative and analytical skills, and the ability to think strategically about the issues confronting our clients

Responsibilities

  • Lead in the preparation of offering memoranda, pitch books, proposals, and other client-facing written materials

  • Drive financial modeling and valuation analysis, accretion/dilution, and comparable company/transaction analyses

  • Assist in managing deal execution processes, including capital raises, M&A advisory, and debt and equity underwriting assignments

  • Coordinate due diligence processes, including information flow management, data room preparation, and third-party review

  • Conduct in-depth industry, company, and sector research to support both live transactions and new business development

  • Supervise and mentor Analysts, reviewing their work product and providing guidance on technical and professional development

  • Organize and participate in client meetings, management presentations, and marketing efforts

  • Interact directly with corporate clients, REITs, private equity sponsors, and senior bankers across all real estate sectors

  • Qualifications

    • 2+ years of investment banking experience (Real Estate Investment Banking Analyst/Associate backgrounds preferred); relevant experience in real estate private equity, corporate finance, or a related field will also be considered
    • Demonstrated excellence in financial modeling, valuation, and transaction execution
    • Strong command of corporate finance, accounting, and capital markets concepts
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present clearly to both internal teams and external clients
    • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
    • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of taking ownership of work product with limited supervision
    • Strong leadership and team management skills
    • Bachelor's degree required; concentration in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field preferred
    • MBA or other advanced degrees is a plus but not required

Base salary: $175,000 - $225,000, plus discretionary bonus

The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis considering a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package (including health, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off and a 401(k) retirement), this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).

We do not accept unsolicited resumes, candidate referrals, or outreach from third-party recruiters or staffing agencies. Any such submissions will be considered property of Cantor Fitzgerald and will not be eligible for any placement fee.
