Embark on a transformative journey as a Full Stack Developer. At Barclays, our vision is clear to redefine the future of banking and help craft innovative solutions. In this role, youll join the U.S. Collateral Technology development team, contributing to both business-driven enhancements and platform re-architecture initiatives that support critical collateral management systems.

To be successful as a Full Stack Developer, you should have experience with:

  • Full-stack enterprise application development using object-oriented languages such as C# / .NET Core

  • Designing and building distributed, high-volume, multi-tier applications, including event-driven architectures

  • Messaging and integration frameworks such as Kafka, MQ, or Solace

  • Front-end development using modern UI frameworks including Angular or React

  • Cloud-based development and deployment, particularly within AWS environments

Some other highly valued skills may include: 

  • Experience with CI/CD and DevSecOps tooling such as Git, Jenkins, Chef, and SonarQube

  • Knowledge of financial services, with exposure to investment banking or collateral management

  • Familiarity with distributed caching technologies such as Ignite, Redis, or GemFire

  • Experience working with data analytics platforms or data lake architectures

Minimum Salary: $75,000

Maximum Salary: $135,000

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organizations technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
