The Directorate provides a range of operational services that support business continuity, enhance colleague and stakeholder experience, and ensure the effective running of the Bank's facilities and corporate activities.
Job Description
The Events Organiser supports the planning, coordination and delivery of internal and external events across the Bank. Working closely with colleagues, business areas and senior stakeholders, you will help ensure events are delivered professionally, efficiently and to a high standard.
The role involves coordinating a variety of event activities, including delegate management, venue logistics, catering, audio-visual requirements and stakeholder communications. You will play a key role in ensuring events run smoothly and provide a positive experience for attendees.
You will work collaboratively with a range of internal teams and suppliers, developing your event management skills while contributing to the successful delivery of seminars, conferences, meetings and stakeholder engagement events.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of internal and external events.
- Liaise with stakeholders to understand event requirements and provide administrative and logistical support.
- Manage delegate registration processes and maintain accurate event records using event management systems.
- Coordinate event bookings, catering, AV requirements, room layouts and event materials.
- Prepare event documentation, attendee communications and briefing materials.
- Provide on-the-day event support, resolving minor issues and escalating where appropriate.
- Work closely with internal service providers and suppliers to ensure delivery requirements are met.
- Monitor event timelines and ensure key milestones and actions are completed.
- Gather attendee feedback and support post-event reviews.
- Contribute ideas for improving event processes and customer experience.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Bank policies, procedures and health and safety requirements.
Minimum Criteria
- Demonstrable organisational skills, with evidence of managing tasks accurately and meeting deadlines.
- Proven communication skills, with examples of clear written and verbal communication.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.

- Experience delivering a customer-focused service with a proactive and professional approach.

Desirable Criteria
- Experience organising or supporting events, meetings or conferences.
- Experience of customer service, hospitality, administration or operational support.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Teams Townhall or virtual event platforms.
- Experience using booking, registration or event management systems.
- Ability to identify opportunities to improve processes and ways of working.
This position offers an annual salary of 28,640.
- Currently a non-contributory, career average pension giving you a guaranteed retirement benefit of 1/80th of your annual salary for every year worked. There is the option to increase your pension (to 1/65th) or decrease (to 1/105th) in exchange for salary through our flexible benefits programme each year. The Bank has the discretion to vary standard accrual rates and dial up and dial down rates at any time and to withdraw dial up and dial down options at any time.
