We are looking for a motivated actuary to join the North America Excess Casualty Insurance Pricing & Analytics team. You will develop and refine pricing models, conduct in-depth analyses, and deliver actionable insights and tools to support our excess casualty actuaries and underwriters. DISCOVER your opportunity What will your essential responsibilities include? Support the development, testing, calibration, and maintenance of pricing models and complex rating algorithms, including studies on pricing parameters, change impacts, and documentation. Pricing tool data collection oversight, analysis, quality checking, and reporting. Analyze internal and competitor data to support strategy development and financial planning. Utilize actuarial pricing tools and expertise to produce accurate, timely, and comprehensive account-specific pricing guidance. Collaborate with actuaries and communicate effectively with underwriters. Micro portfolio management activities including selection of base loss ratio for business planning, profitability studies & deep dives, dashboard maintenance, and post-event loss evaluations. Engage closely with teams for pricing accuracy and operational alignment including but not limited to: Governance, CUO, Underwriting, Reserving, Claims, Models & Analytics, IT, Compliance, etc. Guide less experienced actuarial colleagues, take initiative in team projects, and actively participate in developing team practices and strategies. Provide various trainings to underwriters, ensuring they are equipped to make informed decisions. Adhere to and comply with regulatory standards and organizational policies. You will report to a qualified actuary on the Insurance North America Excess Casualty Pricing and Analytics team.
