Job overview: Were seeking an experienced Product Designer to lead the design and optimisation of seamless user journeys, guiding customers from our website through to our portals and digital services. Youll work on UI components across website and portal environments, collaborate with stakeholders, and bring a strong understanding of user navigation in regulated settings. Your aim will be to create a consistent, accessible experience from the first touchpoint to authenticated portal interactions. As part of the Digital Experience Design Guild, youll have plenty of opportunities to develop your skills, learn from others, and help strengthen our design practice. Key responsibilities: Help develop, improve, and manage our website UI kit, creating reusable components and patterns that follow brand guidelines. Build comprehensive UI kits from our design system, including templates and best practices for website editors and teams to create consistent pages. Work closely with developers, CMS teams, content editors, and brand managers to ensure the design system meets needs and is widely adopted. Promote the use of the design system through clear documentation and guidance, ensuring high standards for quality, accessibility, and visual consistency. Use data and user research to identify pain points and find opportunities to improve the user journey. Use testing methods like A/B testing and agile ways of working to try new ideas, considering SEO, branding, and marketing. Prioritise features and improvements based on user impact and strategic goals, supporting long-term website planning and accessibility standards. Make sure all design work meets WCAG accessibility standards, creating inclusive digital experiences. Work arrangements: At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) from December 2026. Your skills & experience: Experience in UX/UI roles, with a proven track record of designing customer-facing platforms within highly regulated sectors. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement design systems, transforming foundational frameworks into comprehensive UI kits, templates, and guidance for website editors and wider teams. Expertise in Figma, including creating components, applying design tokens, and maintaining scalable, reusable systems. Strong understanding of how design frameworks fit within the development lifecycle, with the ability to create flexible, CMS-friendly website templates. Extensive knowledge of user journey optimisation, funnels, and delivering inclusive, accessible designs in line with WCAG standards. Proven experience working in regulated and sensitive environments, with excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams. Strategic mindset with the ability to balance brand identity, user needs, and technical constraints to deliver impactful digital experiences. Skilled in collaborating closely with developers, engineering teams, content editors, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality, accessible outcomes.
