We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our Legal team in Warsaw on a fixed-term contract to cover maternity/parental leave. In this role, you will provide legal support to AXA Partners entities in Poland, ensuring compliance with the applicable legal and regulatory framework. You will advise business stakeholders on legal and regulatory matters, draft and review legal documentation, identify legal risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures, and support a broad range of business projects. Depending on business needs, you may also provide legal support to other countries across the CEE region. What youll be doing: Provide day-to-day legal support to AXA Partners entities in Poland across all business lines. Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements and other legal documentation. Prepare legal documents, internal procedures and regulations as required by applicable law. Support corporate governance matters, including drafting resolutions and liaising with public authorities and courts. Advise business stakeholders on legal and regulatory matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal policies. Support ongoing business and strategic projects from a legal perspective. Monitor and analyse legislative and regulatory developments relevant to the business. Manage the regulatory agenda, including communication with regulators and preparation of regulatory responses. Ensure local projects comply with legal requirements and internal governance standards. Coordinate legal-related internal control activities. Cooperate closely with Compliance Officers, the CEE Legal team and other internal stakeholders. What youll bring: University degree in Law from a recognised university. Fully qualified lawyer admitted to practise in Poland. 36 years of professional experience gained in a law firm and/or as an in-house legal counsel. Good knowledge of insurance law and a strong interest in this area. Native-level Polish and professional English, including legal terminology. High level of professionalism, integrity and accountability. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Proactive, detail-oriented and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
