Full Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and dynamic Business Development Executive to play a pivotal role in expanding our partnership with AIB. In this critical position, you will foster profitable growth by engaging directly with AIB branch staff, Retail Managers, Insurance Champions, and the AIB GI team. Your expertise will help resolve underwriting, pricing, and administrative challenges, while developing innovative campaigns to generate new quotes and enhance client retention. At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work majority of your week away from home. Away from home means either attendance at one of our head office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. What youll be doing: Drive profitable growth through direct engagement with AIB branch staff, Retail Managers, and Insurance Champions. Build strong relationships with the AIB GI team to support business objectives. Collaborate with AXA colleagues to resolve underwriting, pricing, and administrative issues that hinder growth. Develop and implement local and nationwide campaigns to increase quote generation across the AIB branch network. Take ownership of sales targets and customer retention within your designated areas. Resolve complaints and technical issues raised by clients at both branch and central levels to remove obstacles to growth. Participate actively in planning processes, aligning with colleagues and other functions to set achievable goals. Monitor and report on performance, ensuring that targets and objectives are met or exceeded. Support the delivery of high-quality customer service and foster positive client relationships. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance partnership success and business results. Due to the potential number of applications we expect to receive for this role, we reserve the right to close this advert earlier than the listed closing date to ensure we're able to effectively manage interest. Therefore, if you're interested in joining us at AXA, please don't hesitate to apply. About You/What were looking for: Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of underwriting principles, particularly for Home & Motor insurance, and the ability to apply key factors influencing quote generation, conversion, and retention. Holds an up-to-date APA Personal & Commercial qualification. A relevant third-level qualification (Degree/Diploma) or equivalent combination of education and experience. Full clean driving license is required, as the role requires travel. Face-to-face customer experience or B2B client experience is highly beneficial, coupled with effective selling skills and a high degree of self-reliance. Excellent communication, relationship management, and influencing skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with effective planning and organisational abilities to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines. Proficiency in systems, MS Office Suite and AI packages. This role is a mandatory role under Fitness & Probity Regime, which means the successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced level of background screening requirements. You can find more information on axa.ie/careers. As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorized to work in Ireland and/or the United Kingdom. This recruitment campaign will be used to support permanent, temporary and/or extension for any upcoming similar positions.
