Assistant Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis Gurgaon, Haryana, India Assistant Manager in the Ceded Re FP&A team is responsible for supporting the planning, forecasting, and analysis of ceded reinsurance. This role involves closely collaborating with various stakeholders (Structure & Analytics, Ceded Re Operations, Finance Business Partners, Reporting and Actuaries etc.) to ensure accurate financial planning, insightful performance analysis, and effective communication of results to leadership. What youll be DOING What will your essential responsibilities include? Preparing the multi-year ceded reinsurance plan and quarterly forecasts, while collaborating with various teams to gather relevant data and assumptions for the planning process. Conduct detailed variance analysis of ceded reinsurance results comparing actuals against the plan, forecast, and prior periods. Identify key drivers and variances, providing insights and explanations of significant variance. Draft clear, concise, and insightful commentaries explaining the financial performance of ceded reinsurance which include explanation of key drivers, assumptions, and impact of any changes or events. Prepare and present detailed performance reports and commentaries to regions and leadership. Identify opportunities to enhance FP&A processes, tools, and reporting. Maintain documentation and audit trails for all planning and reporting activities. You will report to Senior Manager Financial Planning and Analysis. What you will BRING Were looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: Required Skills and Abilities: CA/ICWA with relevant years of experience post qualification or MBA Finance (Full-time) from a highly reputed university with relevant years of experience post qualification. Effective analytical mindset, structured work approach and high levels of attention to detail. Excellent analytical and trouble-shooting skills and ability to analyze and manipulate huge volume of financial and operational data. Robust IT skills (MS Excel, Power Point). Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight reporting deadlines. Ability to work resiliently in a fast-paced multi-cultural environment. Good communication & interpersonal skills. Desired Skills and Abilities: Person from (Re) Insurance Industry would be preferred. Knowledge of HFM, QlikView, Power BI, Anaplan will be of added advantage.
